Bunny Treats

Easter is just a few weeks away and the Easter kits are popping up like Spring blooms! Amy Stoffel is releasing this cute kit, called Bunny Treats, today at ScrapMatters:

Who doesn’t love cute bunnies, chick-a-dees, chocolate, jelly beans, rainbows & decorated eggs? This Easter/Spring themed kit with its’ polka dots & gingham is ideal for capturing that special backyard egg hunt or the annual egg decorating extravaganza!

Here's a page I made from our visit to see the Easter Bunny last year:

Enjoy the weekend!! Happy Scrappin'!

Guest CT with Trixie Scraps

I have some exciting news to share! So I was sitting at my computer a week ago Friday night checking my email and I see one from Tracy at Trixie Scraps that says "Congratulations." I opened it up and I was one of the winners from her Facebook contest and won a 3 month guest spot on her Creative Team (CT)!! Woohoo!!!! So, in the past week I have been busy making my way around her team site and becoming familiar with the other ladies on her team! It's nice to see some familiar faces along with making new friends! They have a very active blog and today I was honored to be part of the Sunday Spotlight. Click over to learn a little more about me as well as the other two lucky ladies who won guest spots!
You can also check out Tracy's awesome designs in her personal store.

Scouting Kits

Connie Prince Designs and Trixie Scraps have teamed up again under the North Meets South Studios name to bring us two fantastic kits this week - Scouting is for Girls and Scouting is for Boys.

You can pick these up at any of the following stores:

Gotta Pixel - Scrapbook Bytes - Trixie Scraps Store - Funky Playground Designs

Here are my layouts with them:

These kits are both so versatile! The first layout was done with Scouting is for Girls. I just love that plaid paper!! The bottom one is with Scouting is for Boys. Love the wonderful boy colors! The Pinewood Derby wordart is part of a pack releasing on April 8 so be sure to check back into the stores then for sets to go with both kits.

Happy scrapping!

New Kit by Amy Stoffel

I am so excited to be guesting on Amy Stoffel's CT this month! Her first April release is just stunning! These aren't colors I normally work with but I am just thrilled with how my first layout with it turned out!

You can pick up Be at her store at ScrapMatters.

Happy Scrapping!

New Templates For SBC+ Users

I am so excited for all my fellow Storybook Creator Plus users! If you haven't noticed, some template designers have begun to offer their templates not just as psd, tif or png files but also as page files!!! We can use png files, but page files are just like like Creative Memories' Click and Fill pages - super easy to use and customizable. I'm proud to say I will be converting Connie Prince's templates into page files.

The first one available for purchase is her For the Love of Layers Volume 11:

This is available individually or as part of her Batter Batter Swing Value Bundle:

These are available at her stores at:

Gotta Pixel

Scrapbook Bytes

Ginger Scraps

I just finished up a new set of templates and will be working on another this week so watch for those announcements soon!

Happy scrapping!!

A Frosty Surprise

I wasn't expecting much exciting this morning when I got up, had breakfast and got my son off to school. But then I got online to do a quick email check and read today's Gotta Pixel newsletter and was SOOO excited to see my layout in the Layout of the Day section!!! It makes my day anytime I get recognized in the Gallery Stand Outs for the day, but Layout of the Day (LOTD) is like getting an Oscar for scrapbooking to me.
I had almost as much fun making this page as we did making the snowman. Gotta Pixel recently celebrated Random Acts of Kindness (RAK) week with a fun thread in the forum and numerous RAKs by various designers of gift certificates to their stores. I was lucky enough to get a $5 gift certificate to Mye De Leon's store where I picked up her A Frosty Surprise kit and wordart. I just loved the colors and those cute snowmen. I knew it would be a great kit for my snowy, winter pictures. Then I checked out the new Topsy Turvy Template challenge at Scrapbook Bytes and picked up Connie Prince's template pieces. I love that challenge because you get the basic pieces of a template and then can arrange/resize them however you want and add any additional pieces you want. When I was done, I ended up with my fun snowman page (image is linked to my gallery at Gotta Pixel).

I just love so many parts of this kit - the blue snowy paper, the yellow plaid paper, the snowflake scatter, the stitching... I'm so happy how they all came together to help me capture this great memory of making a snowman with my son!

Here's the kit I used by the fabulous Mye De Leon (image is linked to her store at Gotta Pixel).

On this cold, March morning, it was truly a frosty surprise to get LOTD, and I couldn't be more honored. What a great way to kick off the weekend!!!! Hope you have a great weekend, too!
